The following steps are to connect a Microsoft Windows computer to the "District 145 - Staff" wireless.


  1. Right click wifi icon. Select “Open Network & Internet settings”

  2. Select the Wi-Fi Section

  3. Click “Manage known networks”

  4. Select District 145 networks and forget them.

  5. Close the menu

  6. Hit start and search Control Panel

  7. Select “Network and Internet”

  8. Select “Network and Sharing Center”

  9. Select “Set up a new connection or network”

  10. Select “Manually connect to a wireless network” and hit next

  11. Network name is “District 145 - Staff” no quotes

  12. Security type is WPA2 - Enterprise

  13. Hit next

  14. Click “Change connection settings”\

  15. Go to “Security” tab

  16. Select “Settings” button in the middle

  17. Uncheck the top checkbox (“Verify the server….”)

  18. Click “Configure” near the bottom.

  19. Ensure that the checkbox in that window is not checked. Then hit OK

  20. Hit OK at the bottom

  21. Select “Advanced Settings”

  22. Check the top box (“Specify authentication mode”)

  23. Select “User authentication” from the dropdown menu.

  24. Click “Save credentials”

  25. Type in username & password.

  26. Hit OK, hit OK again, and hit OK one more time. Then select “Close”

  27. Connect to Staff wifi if it has not already connected.
