To create a zoom meeting:
- In Applications, open the Zoom application.
- You might be prompted to login:
- Click the red "Login with Google" button
- The zoom application should launch otherwise click the Launch Zoom button on the webpage
- In the Home tab at the bottom, click on "Schedule"
- Put in your meeting:
- topic
- start date
- duration
- check mark if recurring
- recommended to leave video when joining a meeting OFF for both host and participant
- select audio option
- click to expand Advanced Options
- check mark - enable join before host (in case your attendees join the meeting before you join it)
- check mark - mute participants on entry (participants can unmute themselves)
- add an alternative host if someone else can start the meeting or needs to share their screen
- select Google Calendar
- click the Schedule button
- You might be prompted to login and allow permission for Zoom to have access to your Google calendar to create the meeting in your Google calendar. Allow this.
- A meeting/event will be created in your Google calendar, now you can add attendees to your Google calendar meeting and SAVE (and send invitations) the meeting/event
To edit or delete the meeting:
In Applications, open the Zoom application.
- You might be prompted to login:
- Click the red "Login with Google" button
- The zoom application should launch otherwise click the Launch Zoom button on the webpage
- Instead of the Home tab at the bottom, click on the Meeting tab
- You can now see your meeting. Click Edit to change it (which will create a new meeting in zoom and need to be sent out to invitees again) or you can delete the meeting.
