To see who changed their preferences and why they are not getting emails or notifications...it could be because the parent changed their preferences.


  1. Log into SchoolMessenger
  2. Go to Reports
  3. In the "Other" section, open: Contact and Preference Changes
  4. If you don't know when it was changed, just search back 9000 days (24 years).
  5. Once the webpage comes up, search the webpage Command+F (Control+F on a PC) then search for the student's ID.
  6. You will see the user of the person that made the change in the "Modified By" column.


Client Column:

ASPCustomer = District employee

SMApp Android = Parent

SMApp Web = Parent


Modified By = user that changed it (if blank then user no longer exists, could be parent email that is no longer in SchoolMessenger)
