Do This For All Microphone, Video, and Audio Usage

  1. Turn on the soundboard. (This will take 30-60 seconds to boot.)

  2. Press “Basic Mode” on the small touchscreen unit, located to the right of the soundboard. (You may skip this if the screen is already in Basic Mode.) 

  3. The above is sufficient for microphone use. If you are presenting other media, consult the next steps.

    1. Microphone volume can be controlled on the small touchscreen unit in Basic Mode.


Chromecast/Projector

Use case: I just need to show a quick video or present a simple slideshow. I won’t need to change tabs, desktops, or screens on my computer.


Requirements: Computer or device connected to Staff Wi-Fi or Devices Wi-Fi.


  1. Press “Projector On” on the small touchscreen unit. (This will drop the screen and turn on the projector.)

  2. Use your computer or device to cast to “WHS Auditorium”.

    1. If you need to switch to another tab or video and find that the projector is still casting your previous screen: Use your cast controls to stop casting, then switch to the tab, video, desktop you wish to cast and cast again to “WHS Auditorium”. 

    2. Google may improve this functionality in the future. Use the Podium/Projector section below for more complex presentations.

  3. If audio is not present, use the volume knob on the podium or the Projector Audio controls on the small touchscreen unit.

  4. If the video is not visible, you may need to press the “Chromecast” located on the podium controls or select it from “Sources” on the small touchscreen unit.


Podium/Projector:

Use case: I would like to show my entire screen and want to be able to switch between multiple tabs, videos, and other presentation materials.


Requirements: Computer connected to podium via the appropriate dongle. (HDMI is preferred.) The computer does not need to be connected to any specific network.


  1. Press the “Display On” button located on the podium controls.

  2. Press the “Screen Down” button on the podium controls.

  3. If the video is not visible, press HDMI (or appropriate input button) on the podium controls.

  4. If audio is not present, use the podium volume knob and/or verify your computer’s audio output settings.


Press “Projector Off” on small touchscreen unit or use podium controls “Screen Up” and “Display Off” and turn off soundboard when you are done using the system.
