MBA Device Assignments video tutorial (permission protected) 5:12


  1. Device Assignments (MBA Plugins > MBA Device Manager > Device Assignments)

    1. **This is used to see multiple scenarios active or Inactive Students or Staff with or without an assigned devices.

    2. Here is an example of inactive students who still have a device assigned to them.

      1. Select Students, Select Inactive

      2. Select Has Assigned Device

      3. Click Search.

    3. Also important, you can see the active students without a device assignment.

      1. Select Students, Select Active

      2. Select No Assigned Device

      3. Click Search.

      4. From here, you can assign a device by clicking Assign. **Get used to this process as you will see it whenever you assign a device.

      5. Enter in the asset tag. 

      6. Date assigned defaults to today. 

      7. Ignore the Usage and Insurance Policy.

      8. Ignore the Device Location…it should already be your building and if it is not, give it to your building technology support specialist to investigate.

      9. The status is Available, change to Deployed.

      10. Click Assign Device.

  2. **There are multiple ways to assign a device to a student.

    1. Pull up the student > More > Student Devices > Current Devices tab > Assign Device. 

      1. Enter in the asset tag. 

      2. Date assigned defaults to today. 

      3. Ignore the Usage and Insurance Policy.

      4. Ignore the Device Location…it should already be your building and if it is not, give it to your building technology support specialist to investigate.

      5. The status is Available, change to Deployed.

      6. Click Assign Device.

    2. MBA Plugins > MBA Device Manager > Quick Device Check-Out

      1. Enter/Scan in the student number or last name.

      2. Enter/Scan in the asset tag. 

      3. Date assigned defaults to today. 

      4. Ignore the Usage and Insurance Policy.

      5. Ignore the Device Location…it should already be your building and if it is not, give it to your building technology support specialist to investigate.

      6. The status is Available, change to Deployed.

      7. Click Assign Device.
