Missing or Stolen Device video tutorial (permission protected) 4:48


  1. Scenarios

    1. Missing

      1. Go to Quick Device Check-In

      2. Scan/Enter the asset tag

      3. Set the unassign date

      4. Put in a reason

      5. Change status to Missing

      6. Add known details about it missing including the helpdesk ticket number so a replacement gets charged.

      7. Click Unassign Selected Device

      8. If the device is found and needs to be re-assigned then use Quick Device Check-Out then use Manage Devices change the Status to Deployed and clear out the status details (notes about being missing).

    2. Stolen

      1. Go to Quick Device Check-In

      2. Scan/Enter the asset tag

      3. Set the unassign date

      4. Put in a reason

      5. Change status to Stolen

      6. Add known details about it being stolen including the helpdesk ticket number so a replacement gets charged.

      7. Click Unassign Selected Device

      8. If the device is found and needs to be re-assigned then use Quick Device Check-Out then use Manage Devices change the Status to Deployed and clear out the status details (notes about being stolen).
